Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar, #1131

Posted on the 17 January 2015 by Juliezaz1 @juliezaz1

‘Tis the season!  It’s Girl Scout Cookie time.  My daughter’s troop leader is like the Guru of this monstrous effort.  All last year, she knew how to entice the Moms.  (Girls, too – but this blog post is about me.)  There is a Girl Scout cookie legend that she magically whispered words to suck us all in.  Here they are:

“Thin Mint’tini”

Whoa Mama!  Doesn’t that just get you right in the heart?  OMG!  I must partake!  So, lovely blog readers, I Google searched, and lo and behold, there are recipes all over the internet about it.  So, I am going to share with all of you, and if you need a box of Thin Mints, my little Girl Scout would be happy to sell them to you!

ThinMintini

(Recipe from Food.com)

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 ounces Absolute vanilla vodka
  • 1/4 ounce white creme de menthe
  • 1/4 ounce godiva dark chocolate-flavored liqueur
  • 1 Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookie

Directions

Add first three ingredients into a Martini shaker with ice, and shake and strain into a Martini glass.  Add the Thin Mint Girl Scout cookie as garnish.  Voila!  Enjoy!!!!

Now Girl Scout Moms, hit the streets today selling lots of cookies with your sweet little Girl Scouts, and then when they go to bed, break out the Thin Mint’tini’s!  You’re welcome!

My song of the day is soooo silly, but certainly some cookie madness from my childhood.  “Who Stole the Cookies From the Cookie Jar” is a classic, and this is a very fun version of it.  Enjoy, and happy Girl Scout Cookie season to all!
