Mystery Photo???
Hello to My Readers,
I hope you are having a more than enjoyable summer. I've been musing about all the things that single people go through and the questions we are so often asked...The most obvious one being "Why are you single"? as if it was a disease or other hardship to bear. Isn't that somewhat of an annoying question...? I've included a couple links at the bottom of this post from other writers on the topic that echo what I am observing, feeling and saying.
I've thought of some quippy comebacks that you can use or maybe you've heard of these:
- People usually assume I have a boyfriend/girlfriend (can work for both sexes).
- I'm like a butterfly, you just can't catch me! (I personally like this one).
- I haven't even thought about it, yes my status is SINGLE (you can divert the attention away from yourself by asking the other person's status).
- Obviously, no one has done a very good job of pinning me down!
Whichever you choose to use, practice it and say it with ease...as always, if you have any good ones of your own, or know of any, please share... :-)
On another note, I am trying to increase readership on the blog and interest in the single lifestyle. I notice the following has been good and I'd like to make it great.I truly appreciate the members who have been with me all this time. You are very loyal! Thank you!I would like more people to come out and begin to talk more about being single and what it all means to you...what are your feelings about it? I realize that it's an uncomfortable thing for some to admit and talk about, but others enjoy being single, too and maybe we can all learn from them as well. We want to hear from happy single people, too at Where Would You Find Me?
I plan to increase readership with a new contest that I am hosting. This is only open to newcomers...sorry! I have included a photograph (landscape scene) of a place in New Jersey on this post. My question to you is...where is this place in New Jersey specifically? The one clue I am giving you is this random state that I chose, but that is all that I am going to share. If you are in another country and would like to take a shot at answering, please don't hesitate to do so. Maybe you've traveled around the world and possibly know where it is. Take a look at the photo and if you think you know the answer, you must do four things before you can officially submit that answer to the contest:
1) Sign up and follow this blog publicly as a member
2) Refer at least one friend to this blog (I may check that out)... ;-)
3) E-mail me the correct answer with your full name and address at: [email protected]
4) Include your screen name if it is different from your real name so I can match it up/verify
The first email response from a newcomer that I receive that has taken all of these steps and, of course, is correct will be the winner! I will email you to tell you that you have won via the email address above and verify your mailing address.
The winner's full name and hometown will be posted on the following blog. If no one has won, the photo contest will continue until there is a winner...
The prize is a $25.00 gift card to Starbucks which will be mailed out to you.
