You Just Never Know What to Expect on a Rainy Day

So I woke up this morning thinking it was going to be horrible.  The weather called for rain all day & I just so happened to be one of the lucky parents who got to go with their child’s class to their “Get Aquainted Day &  Terry Fox Run” at Christie’s Conservation. YAY ME!!!

As usual, I always turn my Blackberry on when I get up to see if anyone sent me any messages through the night.  Well what did I see but a DM (direct message for those twitter illiterate people out there) from my friend Jennifer Sweeta (@Jen_Sweeta) asking me if I wanted to go to Breakfast Television in Toronto to see Jordan Knight from NKOTB!!!  Jordan is in town promoting his new album Unfinished You just never know what to expect on a rainy day as well as he is one of the judges on CBC show “Cover Me Canada”

Now anyone who knows me, knows I LOVE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK and there is NO WAY I am passing up a chance to see any of them!!

Not only do I get to see Jordan up close but I also get to meet Jen for the first time!! We have been twitter friends forever & keep missing each other at events or plans fall through.  I am SO excited!!!

I have to be at the studio for 6:30am (or earlier) on Monday…OMG I am NOT going to sleep all weekend but it is going to be ALL WORTH IT if I get to meet & hug him!!!

Now as for the “Get Aquainted Day/Terry Fox Run”, we went…it started to pour just as the kids were about to start their runs…my boys did fantastic…each of them came 10th in their grades…SO PROUD of them!!!!  They had Harvey’s there doing a fundraiser type thing and now the kids are back at school instead of enjoying the rest of the day playing team games of tug o war etc.  Oh well..They are all SOAKED to the bone but they got fresh air & only have a few hours of work.  I am sure the teachers did NOT plan anything so it will be interesting to hear what they actually did LOL.
