Your Memory I Drown

Posted on the 23 August 2014 by Sreesha @petrichor_blore

Illusions do I live in or do I know what’s around me?Am I drinking to forget you or to drown my crushed dreams in it?Plethoric were my hopes when you said our forever has begun,Confused now in this carnival where our kaleidoscopic romance had its beginning.
Out in a demon’s world somewhere, I chose to seek shelter,With bated breath I had waited for each day you chose to meet,Given you the power to wreck the last shred of my happiness,With the double of axe gifted by a goddess of deadly deeds.
Across the river and across the ocean that swallowed it, The deadly horizon beckons storms from hell below,Murkier than the tempest that will be remain the thoughts in my head,Glass after glass of poison I pour.If not one kiss you gave was true to me,If I forgive you today, it is but the shield of my love,Insomniac my nights are, exhausted and red my eyes are, empty and dead a myriad of dreams are,Promise me not forever; this forever lasts till my last glass of wine does.Copyright Petrichor and Clouds 2013 at petrichorandclouds.blogspot.com Please do not reproduce the material published here.
