10 Years

How I looked like 10 years ago:

Graduation Day (March 2002)

HAHAHAHA. I don't look that awful, do I? Okay, maybe a little. But I was our class salutatorian so kebs. :)
Anyhoo, our elementary school held its annual alumni homecoming last week. And since I wasn't able to attend the previous reunions, I was sort of looking forward to being part of this year's celebration. Unfortunately, most of my batch-mates were out of town, had work and some had to be at home with their families. Many of my batch-mates have already started their own families.
Days prior, I met Grace and asked her if they've already made plans. As usual, she said none. We never make actual plans anyway haha. So I told her that we should attend even if there were only 10 of us.
And so we did.
Beye and I went to the venue ahead of others. Since I haven't helped a lot with the preparations, I voluntarily set up our table (there were no table reservations for each batch) with help from Gie of course. Don't think I could move those tables and chairs by myself  haha. My friends bought junk foods, soft drinks and one Emperador. I wasn't expecting for the guys to join us because they are KJ as they are. However, as the night passed, more friends, beer, and laughter came!

Kenn my former best friend, friend for life

Kenn was one of my best friends in 6th grade. Back then, she wasn't an obvious lesbian haha. In fact, she looked a lot like Dora. There was this one time that we fought (for a reason that I can no longer recall but I'm sure it's nonsense) and we avoided each other so much. Our other best friend Mildred, was absolutely torn between us. And as kids, we tended to overreact on a number of things. Going home, Mildred would go with me until we reach our house. Then she'd meet Kenn on the next corner to go home with her haha. That must have been tough for Mid; our cold war went on for months! And during my birthday, Kenn gave me a shirt and we became friends again haha. Mildred then asked us to swear not to fight again by handshake with spit in it. Kids. HAHA

These three guys were the very makulit kids ten years ago, particularly Jacob. They drove everyone crazy with all their shenanigans. But they were smart! Sidong was always on top of our class. It was always about Sidong and Juliet. It's either one of them is first or both of them. And Paul was our chess-master!
It's been ten years since we graduated and look at us now! A lot has changed, yes. Some are professionals, businessmen, politician and head of the family already. But we know there are things that are bound to remain the same - us.

Reunions make me cry. See you next year!
