Mackenzie over at {design darling} can add another person to the list of folks she’s inspired to make their 101 in 1001 lists – or 101 things I’d like to do in the next 1001 days {or 2.75 years}. Instead of just making another set of New Year’s resolutions, I’m adding my list of 101 things. Coming up with this list has definitely not been easy, but after lots of serious thought about things I’d like to get accomplished over the next three years, I’ve come up with this list:

- Make my NYC bucket list {of things to do before we leave New York}.
- Make our pre-kids bucket list {all the things the hubby and I want to do before we have kids}.
- Start my own side business.
- Unsubscribe from all those catalogs I never read.
- Unsubscribe from as many e-update services as possible!
- Find and subscribe to three good style magazines.
- Find and subscribe to three good home DIY magazines.
- Find and subscribe to three good cooking magazines.
- Contribute {or at least attempt to contribute} to at least one of these.
- Figure out my personal style {professional, personal}.
- Redesign both my blogs to better fit my personal style.
- Invest in blog business cards.
- Launch an interview series on one of my blogs.
- Establish an editorial calendar for blog features.
- Connect with ten blogging friends in person.
- Attend a blogger meet-up or conference.
- Write a guest blog.
- Take a class on html to improve my blogs/website.
- Organize the blogs I read into a reader.
- Send fifty handwritten notes.
- Figure out a creative non-Christmas-letter way to send out Christmas updates.
- Throw out or donate 20 things and do not replace.
- Discover ten new favorite restaurants.
- Clean out kitchen {get rid of old pans, old dishes, old appliances, etc.}
- Buy and frame a piece of original art.
- Take an art class.
- Paint a piece of original art.
- Visit ten art galleries.
- Visit ten museums.
- Take a photography class.
- Collaborate even in the smallest way with a brand I love.
- Raise money for at least one charitable cause.
- Research and catalog family history in a way it can be added to and passed down.
- Get reasonably proficient at French and Japanese.
- Script and storyboard a graphic novel.
- Do ten things in Hawaii that I didn’t do the first time around.
- Publish/present in at least three conferences.
- Publish in a professional journal.
- Host a murder mystery dinner party.
- Host a game night with friends.
- Host a recipe exchange.
- Host a cookie exchange.
- Host a wine tasting party.
- Host a beer tasting party.
- Host a high tea with friends.
- Take a specialty cooking class.
- Take a {fiction} writing class.
- Renovate our Oahu townhouse.
- Get our renovations published in a major blog or online magazine.
- Sell our Oahu townhouse!
- Write and publish my own cookbook.
- Create a vlog cooking series.
- Host a cooking class {this one is ambitious, but it’s also a dream}.
- Get into a regular yoga schedule.
- Run a half-marathon.
- Run a marathon.
- Do a triathlon.
- Complete a 30 miles in 30 days challenge.
- Figure out my ideal healthy weight.
- Get there.
- Stay there.
- Make pasta from scratch.
- Establish a professional portfolio.

- Learn/create one new recipe a week during 2013.
- Learn/create one new special diet recipe a month {gluten free, dairy free, low carb, low fat, etc.} during 2013.

- Make at least 20 of the projects/recipes I’ve pinned on Pinterest!
- Wipe and sell/donate old Macbook.
- Attend a horse race or polo match.

- Figure out life-after-Army.
- Kids!! {this one is scary, but the hubby and I want them, soon-ish}
- Give 20 gifts just because.

- If it’s fun, do it again in 2014.
- Write and publish/self-publish a novel.

- Go to a book signing.
- Visit Alaska.
- Visit Japan {again}.
- Visit Australia {again}.
- Visit London {and Gordon Ramsay’s Claridges}.
- Visit Las Vegas.
- Visit a country I have never visited before.
- Take a barre class.
- Take dancing lessons.
- Take an archery class.
- Start a classic vinyl record collection {for my new turntable!}.
- Host 3 blog giveaways.
- Organize a blog event.
- Find a creative way to keep track of family travels {i.e. framed map, etc.}.
- Sing/act in a play.
- Grow my hair out waist-length – then give a big donation to Locks of Love.
- Spend a day with each of my sisters/sister-in-law doing exactly what they want, paid by me.
- Put $100 into savings for every goal accomplished! (1/101)
