14 Week Bumpdate!
I am so happy another week has passed. At the end of this week I will OFFICIALLY be out of my first trimester. Most people think you are out of your first trimester at 12 weeks, but medically, the actual end is after 14.

I know everyone says "Enjoy the pregnancy", but I can't help but be excited every week that passes and the baby is still healthy and alive. For anyone thinking about getting pregnant, or early in their pregnancy, the home doppler is hands down the best purchase you can make.

I had cramping and spotting when we were in New Jersey and that always scares me. But being able to take the doppler and hear the baby's heartbeat immediately put me at ease. I honestly cannot wait until I feel the baby moving because then I'll have a constant reminder that they are ok inside my tummy.

In big news this week: I continue to gain weight, but I have no idea where it is going! My "bump" may have pudged out a little more?!? But not by much. See for yourself:

I guess this week's (on the right) kind of looks like it's pushing out & up a little more...like it's tilting. Regardless, people keep saying it will just appear overnight. Well, I'm still waiting! I guess I can't complain though. Maybe this means I won't get huge-a-mon-gous...
The biggest news this week is that hopefully tomorrow we find out the gender of the baby! The Army doctors won't tell you until 20 weeks, so all of Ryan's friends told him they went early off post and found out instead. Last week I looked up to see when you could go and they said as early as 14 weeks! When I called them and asked if most people can actually tell that early, they said that almost all of them can. The only reason they can't is if the baby is flipped weird or has the umbilical cord between their legs. If that happens they will just have us come back.
So hopefully tomorrow we will know if it's a boy or girl. I DO want a boy to make sure we actually get one, but I secretly would so love a girl as well...I'm torn, which I guess is good, because I know I will genuinely be happy either way (:
So far, you guys have voted 58% in favor of a girl...
Keep an eye out for the reveal ::hopefully:: early next week!
