It's a lemon drizzle cake.
We were off to see Fionaoutdoors and her daughter this afternoon and - having had the cheek to invite myself - I offered to bring cake.
It's come to something when I'd rather bake a cake than bother to round the Boys up and face a supermarket.
I guess it's one of those clues, like wondering whether it would be OK to put your specs on a string around your neck...
So there we were with cake and determinedly sitting outside because you never know when the next time is going to be. I was planning to take a few photos but this is the only one I managed before Boys One, Two and Three, H and her friend L tucked in.
The old joke went:
