{Love this pic! Taken at the mall today.} I'm gonna jump right into the middle of Christmas and New Year's posts and do an update post on my little boy, before I forget.
Little C turned 16 months on December 20th.
At 16 months he's talking quite a bit! He can even say a couple sentences.. he says "I want dat" and a couple other sentences that begin with "I want". He's also learning to say "I love you."
He says quite a few words including dog, cup, car, ball, mama, dada, cat, water, cookie, cracker, nose, mouth, bath, chicken, two, open, that, shoes, socks, no, okay and some other words. Of course he can't say all these words as clearly as they're written.. he has his own spin on pronunciation.
When you ask him how old he is, he'll hold up one finger and say "TWO!" I taught him to hold up one finger and say one but I guess he got confused because Bug is always saying that she's two.
Little C loves to play with cars, balls, trains, Mega Bloks, Little People, little animals and he pretty much likes to do whatever Bug is doing. He also likes to color, play outside, loves to climb and loves watching his favorite cartoons. He really likes Elmo, The Wiggles and Barney right now.
His sleeping habits are kind of bad at the moment. He has to be cuddled and held to sleep. He naps pretty well in his crib but has started waking up in the middle of the night and wanting to sleep in our bed... where Bug has also been sleeping every single night. It's not the best but I know we'll look back on these days and actually miss the kids being so little and cuddly... so it's not that bad in the grand scheme of things.
Little C has the sweetest, and a really mild, personality. He's normally very content and smiley and pretty quiet. He's my little helper. He's the first one to stop what he's doing and come over to help clean up the toys, take something to the trash, help load the dishwasher or help out with the laundry. I sure hope he's this helpful in about 10 years!
He's a great eater! He really likes almost everything except macaroni & cheese... kind of weird for a little kid, but whatever. We're just glad he's not a picky eater. He loves to take his vitamins every day too.
Little C is wearing size 12 month pants... and even those are too big in the waist. He wears size 18 month - 24 month shirts. He's wearing any where from size 5 to size 7 shoes... his foot measures as a 6 1/2 but I guess brands/shoe sizes vary quite a bit. He's still wearing size 3 diapers but needs to move up to a 4. We're just finishing off a pack of 3's. I'm not sure how much he weighs right now or how tall he his. Probably pretty average for his age... I'm guessing.
He loves to give hugs and kisses and likes to cuddle for about a minute before he starts to wiggle again. He's very wiggly and always moving. I don't mind holding him to get him to sleep because that gives us a little extra cuddle time each day.
He's the sweetest, cutest little thing and we wouldn't trade him for the world!
