It was raining on the gardens (and rain forests) of the Eden Project today. But, of course, it didn't really matter because the best bits of the Project are inside the huge biomes. Ideal for a wet day, although judging by the packed car park and crush in the ticket hall we weren't the only ones with that idea.

However, Eden seemed to swallow the crowds so it wasn't too busy away from the main bottleneck points.

The tropical biome brought - alongside the environmental messages - a real flavor of life under the forest canopy. We queued for half an hour or so to get up to the lookout platform up near the biome roof. A long wait for a slightly scary climb up lots of wobbly steps, but the views were worth it. By the time we'd clambered all the way up in nearly 27 degrees we were very pink and sweaty.

Lunch options were plentiful, and tasty. We plumped for the ultimate burger with sweet potato chips. Next time I'd try the Italian cafe in the biome.

We all enjoyed the story session in the Mediterranean Biome. Boy Three joined in the animal noises with great gusto.

Today's interesting ice cream was mango yoghurt.

Superbreaks sent us to the Eden Project so we could see how good it is. Visit the Superbreaks Eden Project page for more about what they do.
