21 Years and What to Show?

I had this idea a few weeks ago to post what I thought I had accomplish in my past year of life. What better time to post this, than the last day of the year that I will be 21 years old. I am taking a big step and turning 22 tomorrow! YEAH Buddy! Anyway, sometimes I get down on myself because there are so many things that I haven’t accomplished yet, and in my perfect life plan I thought some of those things would be finished by now. I also start to compare myself to others, and that’s never a good thing, because we all handle and deal with things differently. Plus I compare myself to those who achieve more than me, not less… If I did it the other way around I’d probably feel great about myself. What did I accomplish at 21 years old?
I reconnected and rebonded with my best friend, Ellen.
Jared and I sealed the deal, after 3 years of courting, and got married.
We traveled to the Bahamas for our honey moon. I have always wanted to go there, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! On our way home we decided to hit up disney world. I have never been disney anything. This was awesome for me!!
I’m not sure if this is an accomplishment, but I view it as one, after Shia tore her ACL we helped her make a full recovery, and it was the longest 6 weeks of my life. Imagine doggy diapers, and strict doctor order that she could not stand or WALK!
We attended a “fun bus” I have been wanting to try this since it became popular in Utah. We went on the fun bus for halloween, and had an absolute blast!
We started a few of our own christmas traditions, since we couldn’t attend Mexico with either of our families during the winter. We attended the Christmas Carol play, and had our own tree set up and decorated with lots of presents!
We went downtown with a bunch of friends to see the Temple Square lights at Christmas. A very popular thing to do in Utah, but Jared and I hadn’t been in quite a few years.
One of my only New Years spent in the US of A.
We were able to celebrate Jared’s best friends life (who passed away the previous year) and hopefully start a tradition to do so each year.
One of my really good friends from high school was in a bad rut, and lost his home. I was able to help him “rent” a room from my parents till her was able to get back on his feet.
We finally re-did our upstairs floors!
I was able to take my passion for writing and fuel my blog with it! (thank you!!)
We remodeled our entire basement, and took out a pesky wall.
I have been to 2 country concerts this year! Miranda Lambert and Toby Keith.
It’s kind of fun to see a list like that.I’m starting to feel good about life.22 is going to be AWESOME!
