Another week has flown by!
A lot of my mama friends are just hitting 30 weeks or are mid-30s. It's crazy, because I remember watching them hit 20 weeks and not being able to wait until I was there. I have a feeling I will hit 30 before I know it.
I have been so emotional lately. I have never been mean or grumpy emotional, but I really can cry very easily. It makes you feel like a big baby. One night this past week I used our home doppler and the baby's heartbeat sounded WAY too fast. I drank a bunch of water and tried again about an hour later, but no change. I was kind of worried, but when I checked again in the morning, her heart had slowed down.
The weight gain is still hard to deal with. Seeing such a crazy high number on the scale compared to what you are used to, isn't easy to grasp. When I look at myself, I don't think I look that different (except for a bump). I just want to make sure I stay within a healthy range and don't gain 50 pounds (or 80 like my friend!).
I wanted to share the best (and I think most realistic) weight gain tracker I have found. A lot of other ones are all over the place and don't show the healthy range you should be in week by week. This one shows you where you need to fall in order to gain the recommended 25-35 pounds if you were a "normal" weight when you got pregnant.

According to that, I am right smack dab in the middle of the weight for 23 weeks. I have a question for all you moms out there...How much weight did you usually lose right up front after just the birth and coming home from the hospital? Was it like 70% of the weight? 80%? I was just curious about how much weight you usually have to work off and how much just "comes off" from the baby being born.
Anyways, our high chair came this morning! I am so in love!!!
I had to order it online because there were only 11 left in the Ikea system and they are not planning at this time to ship any more to the Denver store. I've been waiting for 3 months already for them to come in, and now they are coming at all.
So, I grudgingly paid the shipping so I didn't miss out on the highchair.
{highchair}
I love it because it looks like furniture, not a highchair. It also supposedly cleans up well and the tray wraps around the sides so less food on the floor.
Lastly, I want to leave you all with a little treat!
How would you like $200?
I had the joy of working with Datevitation back in the Fall. I worked with them to create a date coupon book for Ryan for Christmas. They have a great website and offer over 350 unique activity options for couples, friends, parents and kids!
They came back to some of their favorite bloggers and their audiences to give them some great gifts. For the month of June, any of my readers can get $10 off their order by using the code:
