25 Week Bumpdate

Posted on the 04 October 2013 by Samantha Curtis @hooahandhiccups

How far along: 25 weeks
(Here's a look back at 15 weeks...what a difference!)

Size of baby: Eggplant (WOAH!)
Baby's size and weight: 9 in, 1.7 lbs
My total weight gain: 31 pounds. Woof. I hate it. Baby's development: -Capillaries forming and filling with blood and air sacs developing in lungs-Lungs aren't ready yet but developing surfactant, a substance to help lungs expand after birth-Nostrils beginning to unplug and vocal chords getting ready to roar!
Stretch marks: None.
Maternity clothes: Oh yes. Just purchased some cute stuff that I'll be sharing next week :) I also got this scarf; a girl can never have too many scarves :)

Gender: Girl.
Movement: Yes...mostly noticeable at night when I FINALLY sit down for the day!
Sleep: Still taking Unisom nightly.
What I miss: my husband and our family being together. Luckily, we will get to spend the weekend together next week!
Food cravings: Super hungry but nothing specific.
Symptoms: Feeling large; I've reached that point where I don't know how I can possibly get any bigger but of course, I will!
Nolan is: testing my patience for sure. He's 21 months today and going full on Terrible Twos on me. But despite his meltdowns and tantrums, I still love him to pieces. We made our Trick-or-Treat bags this week and he just loved every minute of it.

Zach is: doing super well at school and excited to see us for 3 whole days beginning next Friday!
What I'm looking forward to: St. Louis in ONE week! WOO HOO!
Best moments:  Sending away the donation to the USO. A huge thank you to Fiskars for allowing me to make such a donation, as well as the other friends of mine who helped contribute!

Funny things: This kid sitting with my mom and eating pasta straight out of her bowl. He must be going through a growth spurt because he is eating like a horse!

Not so funny things: I am so not looking forward to taking my Glucose test next Wednesday. As some of you may know, I had Gestational Diabetes while pregnant with Bubba and it sucked royally. Prayers I pass and am in the clear :) Oh and I cracked my tooth the other day... heading to the dentist this morning. Just my luck!
And before you head off for the weekend, please take a minute to say hello to Noor, one of my fabulous sponsors this month! She loves sparkles, gold, rain, and all things pink! She blogs about her life, laughs, random things, and more :)
