It's raining, it's pouring...
There we were relaxing into the clear misty autumn like we hadn't a care in the world. And then, last night, a familiar drumming noise heralded a change.
It was raining. And raining. And raining.
Roads are flooded, trouser legs are damp, wellies are discovered to be too small.
I'm hoping the gutters don't need cleaning out (they do) and that the flat roof is still water-tight (it is).
Still, I quite like this weather, thankful we've only got one of the trying triumvirate of wind, rain and cold. And in any case, eventually it'll stop and a perfectly ordinary day will seem like a treat.
