In September I turned 30. I'm sure I could write a whole blog post dedicated to how I'm supposed to feel. I'm sure I could have come up with some amusing analogies and motivational quips about entering this decade but, in all honesty, I feel slightly meh.
30 If I was to describe my 20's in one word it would be, life-changing. I earned two degree's, bought a house, built a career, adopted a dog, had my first child, got married, had another child and single-handedly created this blog oh and most recently, I finally passed my driving test! My 20's also brought a lot of heartaches. Losing grandparents, difficulties in marriage, anxieties, general mom guilt and some hard financial times. It's definitely been a decade of lessons, growth and realisation that life truly is short and that we need to cherish what truly makes us happy.
Turning 30 has felt like I have put a lot to "bed". In reality, things are actually incredibly good and positive right now, which is exactly where I want to be and to be honest, its the biggest milestone I've achieved.  I think for me, I become so obsessed with reaching goals I kind of feel a little lost at times. I mean, what's next? All those big life milestones are kind of done. Do I have to wait around for retirement?! Its silly isn't it that we always seem to work our way through life thinking, "things will be better when I get a pay rise" or "things will be better once we have a bigger house" and whilst we should use things like this to motivate us positively, I definitely need to learn to be content and appreciate the little things in life.
Throughout my 30's I want to continue to grow, travel, learn and nurture all that I hold dear. Wellbeing and family will take the forefront of my ambitions and I want to be able to share that with all you lovely lot...
With that in mind, I would love to hear what you'd like to see on here. Whether you'd like me to make more video content? Tips on positivity? Wellbeing or just general family life? Let me know so I can start to build content you actually what to see/read.
So here's to my 30's may they be full of adventure and happiness.
