Oh…I have been saving this picture for a few weeks. This is one of my very favorite plants in the Universe!! It is called a Firepower Nandina.
I have a very shady yard, and this is the perfect plant for shade or partial sun, it doesn’t get very big, about 2 to 2 1/2 feet and during a mild winter will hold it’s leaves and look like this until spring. And….the deer totally leave it alone, that in itself is amazing!!!
I love the fall color as well, when everything else is done, Nandina is at it’s prettiest :)
