9 weeks to go! 63 days or less. Wowza.
This month is going to fly by. We have a hospital tour this weekend and then next week we have our maternity pictures and breastfeeding classes. I also have another doctor's appointment next week, now that I will be going every other week.
Before we know it, August will have come and gone and we will be in the final month. I feel like we have so much stuff to do still. I finished ordering everything we had left on our baby registry. I cannot wait until all these items start arriving.
I've been crazy stalking Sarah, Ruthie & Monica...their little ones should be here at any moment!!! They probably think I am a freak because when I don't hear anything from them in a day or so, I become convinced they are in labor...not so, but I am waiting and cannot wait to see their precious babies make their grand entrances (:
I got to take a trip back to my childhood this week - yep, those are jelly shoes!!! My bump is popping out more and more, but I can still, very clearly see my toes. Shaving my legs and my ::cough cough:: lady parts has become a little more challenging, but I swear I will continue to shave up until delivery - even if I have to master doing it without seeing. Some of my friends have told me, "After a certain week you just can't and then you stop caring..." but somehow I do not think I would be ok with that in the delivery room...sorry for the TMI, but it's true! Some of my friends have been getting waxed from before pregnancy, but EVERYONE says do not start waxing when pregnant, so that option is out of the question.
The dressed 31 week bump. I was not thrilled about wearing a tank top...I have the worst back-ne since becoming pregnant. Pregnant glow?! Yeah right. I have never had problems with acne or breaking out, but ever since the first trimester, it has been terrible. Not only is it ugly in clothes that show your back, but it is most of all so incredibly painful. I always seem to break out the worst where any bra straps or shirts straps want to fall. Whenever I am around the house I just wear loose comfy shirts to try and help the situation.
I got to go to my first appointment with my new doctor. I felt like I was walking into a spa. The waiting room was so nice and fancy. That's what happens when you are used to going on base for medical care. I really like my doctor. Unfortunately, Ft. Carson has still not sent over my medical records, so my new doctor had no idea about any of the details from my pregnancy. Because I have been having terrible cramps and more spotting, she wanted to see where the placenta was to make sure there weren't bigger issues we needed to keep an eye out for.
I ended up being at the doctor for almost 3 hours...but I got a surprise ultrasound to check the placenta. The tech was so nice that she switched over to 4D and gave me this picture to keep. Rilynn looks so different from the last time I saw her! She is now getting some fat in her face and looks like what I imagine will be pretty close to when she pops out. Mainly I am hoping she stays a "she". We think she has Ryan's luscious lips and my tiny nose ::fingers crossed::.
We built our high chair this weekend. I know we won't need it for 5-6 months, but we won't be living here anymore. Ryan wanted the movers to move it built, mainly so we could check to make sure it had all of it's parts. It is the Blames highchair from IKEA and I am in love with it. I like that it seems like a piece of furniture instead of an eyesore in our dining room.
I prepped almost all of our cloth diaper stash. I also washed all of the little miss' clothes and bedding/blankets. It was a TON of laundry, but I am so relieved that it is finished! I had a lot of ladies asked if I would write up posts on our cloth diapering adventures and I do plan to do that! I want to post on where we got our diapers, which ones end up working for us, how we transition from disposables to cloth, etc. As we get to different stages I will definitely keep you updated. I will try to do the first post about buying them as soon as I get a chance.
We got to go on a fun date night on Saturday as well. Ryan has been sick for the last couple of days, but it felt good to get out of the house.
And lastly, this little pupperoni had me in tears over the weekend. Her ears went from bad to worse-than-anything-I-have-ever-seen-in-person in the matter of two days. By yesterday morning, I was begging the vet for an emergency appointment. She had bumps all over her body, bloody red swollen ears and runny eyes. I thought she had allergies until her ears got so bad. The vet found out that she has a horrendous bacterial ear infection. Over the past couple of days, she managed to use her paws to scratch her ears, moving the bacteria from her ears onto her paws, her skin and into her eyes. I walked out of the vet with 6 different medicines and the cone of shame. Hopefully she makes a quick recovery!
I hope you all are having a fantastic week and are excited for the start of August!
