46/365 Not Leaving on a Jet Plane

Posted on the 15 February 2013 by Ellenarnison @Ellen27

The first time I left the house to take Boy Three to nursery this jet was scorching its way across the blue sky. The second time - ten minutes later - I was too distracted by the fact I'd had to come back for the boy's forgotten bag.

Wouldn't it be great to be zooming off to somewhere interesting?

In spite of trying quite hard not to get involved in the bucket loads if irritations that slopped past me, I have found today rather trying.

Insurance company people didn't return calls, capital letters appeared at random while punctuation marks vanished (other people's, not mine), control freaks caused some trouble because they couldn't have things their own way, children made a lot of noise, children couldn't agree on things, inbox items silently hounded me, and, good manners went missing.

I so wish I was checking in and taking off.
