Looks like HTC is finally getting back on track. According to Wall Street Journal, HTC has sold 5 million units of it's flagship phone. Samsung recently announced 10 million sales figure of Galaxy S4 too. Well, this seems satisfactory for HTC as they were getting no way near Samsung in recent past.
“Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply…This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it’s doing really well or not.” – unnamed HTC source
HTC One met with number of problems shortly after it's announcement including shortage of components but even then HTC has managed to sell 5 millions handsets. The shortage has not been completely addressed but once HTC does, it will be interesting to see if there is a significant boost in the sales. But this news, however, is really a good one for HTC fans out there.
