Valentines Day is about you and your partner as a couple. Some people exchange cards, some people also exchange presents. Lots of people head out of the door all dressed up to go to the cinema or out for a romantic meal. A lot of couples will opt to stay at home, especially if they have children and will maybe do something together at home to mark the occasion..
Adam and I don't yet have any plans for Valentines and will probably spend it at home. I don't like the idea of doing nothing for Valentines and so I've collated a few different ideas from around the web to give me some staying at home but still romantic Valentines inspiration. :)
Light candles and exchange massagesI LOVE this idea and not just because I have a bad back! I can't think of anything more relaxing than lighting some nice candles, putting on some soft background music and exchanging massages!
Snuggle in front of the fire Obviously this is dependant upon whether or not you have a fire or a wood burner. But as we do, I love the idea of snuggling in front of a warm fire, drinking wine and just chatting.
Try something new I've recently discovered that there's a brand new monthly subscription box called The Fantasy Box, which is dedicated to helping couples rediscover their relationships and explore things they'd always wanted to but have been afraid to ask. I think the whole concept is such a brilliant idea for couples - it's something that's fun that they can open up together every month and it's just for them! I think this concept is going to help bring a lot of couples together and is such a perfect idea for an at home night on Valentines Day!
Get out the games I love a good board game or a game of cards. I like the idea of getting in some drinks and snacks and having a games night. You could even head online and play games online or even take 'couple' quizzes. I personally love the Mr and Mrs style quizzes!
Cook a nice meal for him/her (or order a takeaway and have the night off!)Good food is essential when it comes to Valentines Day, right?! You could cook your other half a nice home cooked meal whilst they relax with their feet up or if you both want the night off - get in your favorite takeaway! Which is probably what we will do! ;)
