5 Small Changes That Could Make A Huge Difference To Your General Wellbeing

The events of recent years, including the pandemic and the changing working practices that caused, have led to an increased focus on wellbeing, both in and out of the workplace.

As such, it’s perhaps no wonder that many workers are retraining as therapists to provide guidance and support to those who need it.

While professional medical support is always recommended in extreme cases, there are simple changes you can make to your everyday life to improve your general health and overall happiness.

Get The Basics Down

We all know that you need to drink around 8 glasses of water a day, sleep for between 7-9 hours per night and eat more natural foods over processed treats. However, knowing these things and actually doing them are two very different practices. A simple change you can make is to try and actively focus on the things you can control, like your diet, water intake, exercise regime and sleep schedule. These changes could make a huge positive difference to your health and wellness in the long run.

Use Natural Pain Relief When Needed

If you’re only in a little discomfort, it’s easy to think that you don’t need pain relief and can power through the pain. In some cases, however, natural pain relief can make a major difference. For example, if you often experience aches and pains during your period, then try using the CBD-infused tampons from Daye. These naturally pain-relieving tampons can help you to feel more comfortable throughout the month, which could make a massive difference to your physical and mental health.

Limit Your Screen Time

Most of us spend a lot of the day staring at screens: from browsing endless spreadsheets for work to watching TV to unwind, many of us don’t realize how much time we spend looking at technology. We all know that excessive screentime can be bad for our mental wellbeing, and it’s not great for your eyesight or sleep either, so it’s best to reduce it where you can. To start, try to limit your screen time before bedtime to improve sleep quality and reduce eye strain. Alternatives to screens include physical books or other activities that don’t need as much technology, like cooking or playing sports.

Spend More Time With Animals

Another great alternative to screen time is to spend more time with animals. Animals are a great way to improve your mental health, so it’s worth seeing if you can find a way to interact with a furry friend a few times a week, if not more often. The easiest way to do this is to get a pet, but that’s not always possible. If you can’t have your own pet, try to find a friend with one you can borrow, or offer to walk a neighbour’s dog.

Try To Stay Positive

Life is a mixture of ups and downs, and it's crucial not to let disappointments get you down. Instead, consider focusing on the positive aspects of your life to uplift your spirits and increase your overall happiness. While it may require some time and dedication, following these suggestions and maintaining a positive outlook can help enhance your general well-being and allow you to become the best version of yourself.
