During our trip to Billund we were very fortunate to be able to visit WOW Park which we took the free city shuttle bus to from our hotel. I'd heard good things about WOW Park and it being a great adventure outdoor park, but I didn't really quite know what to expect. After having been, I am SO glad we got to visit, it was so much more than I'd expected!
As soon as we arrived at WOW Park we were handed a map and told that we'd find something for everyone no matter what ability. The first thing we realised was just how big WOW Park is! There are 6 color coded zones in the park with multiple things to do in each zone and whilst there was literally no queuing to go on things it's definitely the sort of place you could easily spend the whole day!
It’s an understatement to just say that WOW Park is an outdoor adventure park because it felt like so much more than that! We all got to experience a day challenging ourselves in the great outdoors amongst the trees and the wilderness whilst bouncing between SO many activities that we couldn’t actually fit them all in! From giant Tarzan swings and high-hanging suspension bridges to wild slides and giant bouncy balls in tree top nets! We raced down zip lines, worked together as a family to complete outdoor challenges and even fed some goats and their babies!
I honestly can't tell you how much there was to do there. There was so much in fact that we couldn't fit it all in. Every time we turned around there was something new to go on or to do and because of how big the park is, it never felt busy or crowded.
In terms of toilets and food/drink facilities, the toilets were really clean and looked after. And there is a cafe to get food/drink from, but personally we found it very expensive (which is very normal across the whole of Denmark). What was great though was that we could fill up our water bottles from the outdoor tap, so we kept refilling them as we were there on a really hot day! You can also use the fire pits outside to make and toast s'mores which you van get the bits for from the shop there, which I thought was a lovely idea, although we personally didn't get around to doing this ourselves as we were having so much fun going on everything else
We had the absolute best day at WOW Park and would 100% return if we went back to Billund. Don't miss it if you visit Billund! You can find out more about WOW Park and book tickets over on their website.Thank you for reading, Alex xo
