A Giant Green Win-win Post: Share Your Top Healthy Eating Tips and Veg Box Competition

Posted on the 23 October 2011 by Ellenarnison @Ellen27

I know five-a-day is what we’re aiming for but, despite my best efforts, I don’t think my kids have ever consistently achieved this. Actually, I’m not sure they have ever managed five and certainly not all three boys on the one day.
There are reasons why it’s such a struggle in this house – Boy One is a reformed food phobic, Boy Two is contrary and Boy Three is a toddler.
Currently Boys One and Three like smoothies, Boy Three and Two will nibble on a carrot and they’ll all eat grapes and strawberries. And, er, that’s about it.
From time to time, I have a healthy eating push and we get slightly closer to the magical five-a-day. It’s been a while since the last one, so I jumped at the chance to take part in Green Giant’s campaign.
They want to get people sharing their tips for getting kids to swallow some vegetable goodness, but remembering that life is too short to liquidise broccoli. There is a prize – an Abel and Cole veg box plus some Green Giant goodies – for the best suggestion.
The best tip in the comment box wins the prize, that’s all.
Terms and Conditions: For your chance to win an Abel & Cole vegetable box, write your best tips/hints/advice in the blogger comment box before November 14. Entrants must be over 18 and residents of the UK or ROI. Prize is one Abel & Cole vegetable box (no cash alternative) - there will be one winner. The winning post will be decided based on the following criteria: uniqueness, creativity and originality. By entering the competition, you agree that your hint/tip may be shared on Green Giant’s Facebook page and used by Green Giant in any other media.
