Living in a big city it’s easy to forget that there is actually, um, green stuff out there. After getting a bit of cabin fever since uni is out for spring holidays and my internship has slowed down I’ve got a full week filled with touristy stuff including a day trip to Brighton, much to the chagrin of the boyfriend.
Kicking it off last Friday was a 3 hour hike/dawdle around Hampstead Heath in north London, one of the larger parks in London that has some nice views of the city. My internship is approximately .5 blocks from the Heath, yet for some reason I haven’t made my over all.darn.year. Blame the essays and dissertation or just pure laziness.
All I know is one walk around the Heath will make you feel like a horrible human being for being the only one without a dog and/or small child in tow. No need to fret, the dogs are all running around so you can just pretend like one of the cuter ones is yours! And hopefully some little girls won’t find your boyfriend so cute that they break out into a fit of giggles when he isn’t looking.
Happy Easter!
