This Saturday, January 19th, in Downtown Los Angeles, at the Vibiana, crowds will gather around in support of a Green Term for this upcoming election term.
Festivities begin at 11am on Saturday and continue all the way through midnight. Different performances will be happening throughout the day including: Love in the Circus, Earth Harp, yoga classes, and a segment called “Paint The World You Want” where 100 local artists will paint their vision of a Green Term.
That evening at 7pm, Grammy Award winning world fusion rock band “Ozomatli” will be taking the stage. Admission to this event is free, and open to the public.
The event is also the kick off to a organization known as EarthWE, whose primary goal is to make good-cause and philanthropic involvement more rewarding and fun than it has ever been, by promoting volunteerism with a new level of mass participation and a dynamic technology platform (www.earthwe.com). EarthWE’s major partners for “A Green Term, Mr. President” are Global Green, the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and Amazon Watch, among others.
