A Little Health Update.

Happy Tuesday, wonderful followers!
As I previously told you all, I had an interesting Tuesday a few weeks ago. Since you were all so wonderful in showing your concern, I thought it only best that I give you an update so you wouldn't be worrying.
The good news is, I'm not dying, but we knew that already since the doctor ran all those tests and such.
I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor about a week after the spontaneous hospital visit and the long and short of it is I get stressed, rather easily. And when I get stressed, I get anxious. And when I get stressed and then I get anxious I apparently have some issues breathing.
She told me that the three main things that will help my stress and anxiety are to make sure I get plenty of sleep (something I haven't always been super great about, considering my history of all-nighters in college), reduce my caffeine intake (which means no more soda, which in the end, is a good thing), and to exercise regularly (which is usually the first thing to go when I get busy).
I'm nowhere near close to having anxiety issues that require medication, which is good.
Since my sister's bridal shower finished, the stress has decreased drastically and the breathing issues have all but stopped. There's still moments when it flares up, but it's much better than it had been and there's no more chest pain or anything like that.
I'm into my third week of P90X and I think that's been helping the stress, though I can't say how much weight I've lost. Last week was not super awesome as far as diet was concerned and I couldn't do my weekly weigh-in on Friday, so we'll see how things are going at the end of this week and I'll do the "official" appraisal at the end of the following week, which is the end of Phase 1.
So, in summary:
  • I'm not dying, so that's good.
  • I get stressed really easily, but the best remedy for my stress and anxiety issues are healthy things like getting more sleep, reducing caffeine intake, and exercising more.
  • I'm into my third week of P90X and it's going quite well. I'll give you another update when I finish Phase 1.
I hope you're all having a fabulous Tuesday. :)
