A New Chapter
I am so excited that we were finally able to share some wonderful news this week. After 5 months of job searching and interviewing, Ryan received an offer for a job in Florida. Besides the job being an enormous blessing on it's own, we are also excited because I have family and friends throughout Florida (since that is where I grew up). Although I never thought I wanted to move back, I actually am welcoming the time with my family and the warmer weather! We've spent the past two weeks visiting my parents & sister. Rilynn had not met her aunt up to this point, so it's been very exciting and wonderful. We are really looking forward to house hunting and can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives.

Ryan and I were incredibly humbled through these past 5 months. It was definitely one of the most difficult things either of us have gone through. I cannot explain how blessed we were by all of the prayers, encouragement and help offered up by so many of you. There were many days that we felt so discouraged - but every time we got to a really low point, someone reached out or something occurred that let us know God had control of the situation. I am such an impatient person and I often like to have control over things in my life. This was definitely a learning experience and I think it helped me to grow and discover new things about myself.
During the past few months I spent a lot of time enjoying these precious moments with Rilynn, Ryan and Ryan's family. We tried to make the best of the situation and I will always be appreciative of the fact that Ryan's family got to spend so much time with Rilynn.
I let my blog sit on the back burner for the majority of the time. Yes, I posted frequently - but most were informative posts or things that definitely weren't "personal". Although I missed sharing our life, some of the emotions and things we were going through were items that I didn't feel comfortable posting about publicly. Most days I just wanted to focus on the good and positive in my life - not harp on all of the negative things that were going on.
But here we are - finally we reached the light at the end of the tunnel. And while we are so very excited, I will miss certain things from the past few months. Moving on from any chapter of your life is bittersweet - I'll miss having Ryan around to catch all of Rilynn's milestones with me, I'll miss playing games and chatting with Ryan's mom, I'll miss the little room that was our home for 4 months while we lived in New Jersey. All of these things will be memories that stick with us for the rest of our lives.
So thank you friends who have blessed us. We are so appreciative for your love and prayers. God is so good and faithful & we are looking forward to everything He has in store for our family as we start our new life in Florida!
