A New Start

I am back!

I was in Newport, RI for meetings all last week for my new job!! Not a bad place to spend the first couple days of my new job. The Sperry offices are outside of Boston, but they were having their annual off-site sales meetings and I was lucky enough to attend even though, I don’t actually start working there until June!

I spent my first couple days with Sperry, meeting everyone, learning about the brand and my new job. I spent a lot of time in meetings but I managed to work out a couple times. Most of the work outs were quick 20 minute sessions but it was better than nothing. At one point I had an hour break so I quickly changed into my running clothes and headed to the gym. I did a 20 minute interval workout on the treadmill and a quick core. I worked up a good sweat and still had time to change and get cleaned up before the next meetings!

The last night of meetings, they chartered a sail boat to take us out on the water for a 2 hour cruise! It was amazing. The weather was perfect and the boats were so beautiful.

The sales meetings were great and I learned a lot about my new job and the people I will be working with. I can not wait to get to work and really start to get involved!

On another note, I have been exhausted lately and really unmotivated. I think it is partly due to the transition to a new job, having a lot of obligations on top of that and not taking care of myself. So I made a decision today, that I am going to change that. I am going to wake up in the morning and get some exercise, I am going to eat clean, and I am going to feel better about myself. The only person holding me back, is me; and I am sick of it. I feel so much better when I take care of myself and live healthy. It is easy to get lazy but the way I feel is SO NOT WORTH IT. Today, I am getting back on track.

I am done starting over. I am ready for a lifestyle change. I hate the way I feel when I let myself go. I need to commit to this lifestyle 100%, I will be a much happier person [I am sure Vinnie would appreciate it too!]

I already woke up and did some yoga. It was beginner but was challenging for me.  My muscles were so tight and screaming at me. But, I feel so much better now that I got up and moved a little bit. I am going to try to move for 30 minutes every morning this week.
