For today's post we're doing another Pinterest party! Similar to back in August, the lovely folks at 20 Something Bloggers are hosting yet another wonderful Pinterest party, only this time it's holiday themed. So here are a few of the holiday decorations from our apartment that were Pinterest inspired!
To make this wreath, I bought a plain wreath from Michael's for about $4.00 (on sale) and then added some extra ornaments from two boxes I got at Target (50 ornaments for $15/each in red and silver). I got the little red bows from my mother and then my roommate picked the reindeer ornament up from Michael's as well. And tada! Rather than spending close to $30 for a wreath that looked very similar to this one from Target, we got our own wreath for under $10. Huzzah!
Since my roomie made this ones, I don't know all the details of pricing, but I know that she got most of the supplies for these initial wreaths at Michael's. The letters were originally white and she painted them with red and silver, to match the decor of the rest of the apartment. They worked perfectly to put add a little something to our blank TV wall.
I got these mini lanterns from my mother, as they were leftover from my sister's wedding. The tall glass vase was from Target for about $5.00. I added some mini ornaments from Target (in silver, red and green) that I got for $3.00 a container and they ended up being a wonderful piece for our bookshelves and end tables.
Obviously this isn't exactly the same at the pin, but similar to the initial wreaths above the TV, we wanted something to fill up the space on our blank dining room wall, so my roomie picked up the big ornaments from Michael's and the curtain rod from Wal-Mart.
