Cutting ties means
you won't have to feel a thing
when a family member has been injured
or found dead
Never sharing your life with someone means you'll never have to
care if that person gets sick
or boring
Not having children means
you won't lose sleep over child molesters
or whether or not you're poisoning your child's personality
Being alone means
your only obligations are to drink yourself happy
or get high while you watch the sun rise.
