So I'm a fan of lists. When I'm not working, writing, cleaning around the house, grocery shopping, or slightly helping with dinner I find myself making lists. I'll make a list of groceries we'll need to get over the weekend. I'll make a list of movies that I want to see. I'll make a list of books that I want to read. I'll make a list of meals that I'd like to prepare. You get the idea.
I've been thinking about children's books recently and would love to create a huge list of books that Meghan and I can start reading to our baby or at least her stomach for now. Fortunately, I have some great friends and family that have helped me with this list. They've mentioned books like:
- Oh, the Places You'll Go!
- Love You Forever
- Frog and Toad Are Friends
- The Giving Tree
- Good Night Moon
- Where the Wild Things Are
This is a completely different list than what I normally create and I want this list to be much larger. I want stacks and stacks of books for us to read to our baby. I'm so excited to read stories and fairy tales that I either can barely remember or not at all. I wasn't a big book reader when I grew up, but it's one of my favorite things now. And soon, I will be sharing one of my favorite things. It's a unique feeling to know that you'll be reading to a little baby. I'm excited. And hopefully our baby won't hate the sound of my voice, haha.
If you have any suggestions on children's books or fairy tales that I should add to my list, I'll be more than happy to jot them down. Now, back to my list.
