By now you all know my deep love of wine.  Over the years I have concentrated heavily upon the California Wine Regions, but recently I heard about Brancott Estates Flight Song, and had to give it a go for a few reasons:

I’ve been hearing GREAT things about the Australian and New Zealand Wine Regions.

Brancott Estates is the first known wine developer of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc coming out of New Zealand.  Being a HUGE Sauvignon Blanc fan I had to try out their wine to truly taste the difference.

Upon my first glass being poured:

I soon smelled the wine.  Right away, it was a different fragrance from what I was use to from Sauvignon Blancs out of the California Wine Regions, but very pleasant.  Then, I took the first sip and could truly taste the difference. Hints of Grapefruit and Passionfruit with a hint of lemon lie in this wine making a very pleasant wine to drink during those hot summer days.

But what makes Flight Song unique compared to other Brancott Estate wines? These wines were crafted to be 20% lighter in calories making one feel less guilty over a glass of wine enjoyed at home.

Flight Song also has a Pinot Grigio varietal of wine that showcases hints of lemon, white peach, and guava creating quite the delicious flavor.

These wines are truly meant to be enjoyed outside on a summer day’s, or for a fun picnic out in the grass.
