आज दिवाली है। (Aaj Diwali Hai - Today Is Diwali.)
The festival of Diwali is near. It is the biggest festival in India and is celebrated almost everywhere in the world where their is Indian population. We often forgets during festive celebrations about those who are deprived,sad or don't have circumstances of happiness. Every festival teaches us to share love,sweetness and happiness with everyone. This poem is reminder of the same. I wish everyone a happy prosperous and safe Diwali.
जोड़ो दिल से दिल के तार, आज दिवाली है। करो खुशियों की बौछार आज दिवाली है। Jodon dil se dil ke taar, aaj diwali hai.Karo khushiyon ki bauchaar aaj diwali hai.
उन अंधियारे कमरो में,जहाँ ईश्वर भी नहीं जाता, मगर इंसान रहता है,उन उजियाली गलियों में,जहाँ ख़ास-ओ-आम है जाता और इंसान बिकता है,उन थक्यारी राहों में,जहाँ कोई माँ-बाप रोता है,बेटा नहीं आता है,उन बेदर्द झोपड़ों में,जहाँ कोई भी नहीं ख़ाता,भूका ही सोता है,करो रोशन इनके द्धार आज दिवाली है। Un andhiyare kamro mein,Jahan ishwar bhi nahin jaata, magar insaan rehta hai,Un ujiyali galiyon mein,Jahan khaas-o-aam hai jaata aur insaan bikta hai,Un thakiyari rahon mein,Jahan koi maan-baap rota hai, beta nahin aata hai,Un bedard jhopdon mein,Jahan koi bhi nahin khata, bhuka hi sota hai,Karo roshan unke dwaar aaj diwali hai.

उन टूटे दिलों में,जो बुझ से गए हैं, किसी अपने के खोने से,उन उलझे हुए घरों में,जो मिट से रहे हैं, प्यार न होने से,उन झुकी नज़रों में,जो भीगे हुए हैं, इंतज़ार ख़त्म न होने से,उन सूखे लबों में,जो चुप हो गए हैं, दुआएं पूरी न होने से,करो मीठे इनके जज़्बात आज दिवाली है Un toote dilon mein,Jo bujh se gaye hain, kisi apne ke khone se,Un uljhe hue gharo mein,Jo mit se rahe hain, pyaar na hone se,Un jhuki nazron mein,Jo bhige hue hain, intezaar khatm na hone se,Un sukhe labon mein,Jo chup ho gaye hain,duaen poori na hone se,Karo meethe unke jazbaat aaj diwali hai.

दिवाली ( Diwali) - An Indian festival of lights; बौछार (bauchaar ) - shower ; अंधियारे ( andhiyare) - with darkness ; ईश्वर ( Ishwar ) - God ; उजियाली (ujiyali ) - full of lights ; थक्यारी ( thakyari ) - tired ;द्धार ( dwaar ) - doorstep ; लबों ( labon ) - lips ; जज़्बात ( jazbaat ) - emotions.
