#AD Book Review: The Happiness Handbook

Posted on the 30 April 2013 by Jamie Gall @50states50wines

Were you born happy?  Throughout life we’re given no instructions on our journey.  We figure things out as we go.  Our parents or guardians help us through the beginning.

And as we set out on our own paths, things may get a bit more blurry.  Wouldn’t it be nice if we had some sort of manual of helping us figure out “What makes us happy?”

Well author Jenn Flaa wrote a book, which I was given to review, called “The Happiness Handbook.”  She is very straight forward in her book with helping you figure out what makes you happy.

She’s also figured out that the sooner we let others know what makes us happy the happier we will all be in the end.  They will also know what makes us tick, and the things that make us not tick, and learn fast what things to avoid.

This book offers a variety of worksheets to help you figure out what makes you happy.  As I wrote down my lists I’d also have those conversations with my SO.  We’ve been together for nearly 3 years now, however, having this realistic conversation only makes things simpler for down the road.

It was a fun read, and something I went through myself shortly after going through my divorce except without the handbook right in front of me.  Just be careful as you give this out as a gift the person you’re giving it to just may not be quite ready for it. ;)

Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of “The Happiness Handbook” for review purposes.
