#AD: Marie Callender’s New Pie and Pasta Amore Menu!

Posted on the 10 May 2013 by Jamie Gall @50states50wines

My first experience with Marie Callender pies was when I was 16 years old.  It was the week before Thanksgiving, and pies were on sale, and man, were they on sale at Buy One Get One Free.   I soon learned about Marie Callender’s Frozen Entrees and Pot Pies too.

So when I moved to California one of the first things I noticed were the Marie Callender’s Restaurants, “They have restaurants?”  This was complete news to me.  So when the opportunity presented itself to try out their new menu, “Pie and Pasta Amore” I couldn’t resist.  Thank you Marie Callender’s for inviting me out to try the new menu for free.  A name I grew up, and now a chance to try out their restaurant (granted, I have tried it before out of curiousity!)

Their Pie and Pasta Amore menu starts at 9.99 and up!  You get a pasta, chosen from 4 varieties: Baked Rigatoni with Caesar Salad, Shrimp Angel Hair Sorrento, Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Rosemary Chicken, and Chicken Pesto Alfredo with Caesar Salad.

The Shrimp Angel Hair Sorrento

The Rigatoni with Caesar Salad

The Chicken Pesto Alfredo with Caesar Salad

If you are a vegetarian they will also accommodate for you by taking the chicken off.

Wild Mushroom Ravioli

However, lets be honest here, what is Marie Callender’s really known for?  Their pie, right?  So we can’t forget that.  All 8 of us ordered something different:

The first pie in the pic is their new “Lemon Cake Pie.”  I’ve heard great things about it, however,  I went with the Double Cream Blueberry.  I am a cream pie girl myself.

There’s still two other pies out there See what I mean?  Needless to say I will be heading back to Marie Callender’s again to take advantage of this deal, and of course, the pie.

But one of the best parts of the night was getting together with other bloggers just to chat and enjoy a night out in Riverside:

So, a big thank you to Marie Callender’s for having us out to try their new menu items!

Disclosure: I was provided with a free meal on behalf of this post.
