When I was a child growing up I had too big of tonsils. That meant, to help me with my breathing I would push my teeth forward. In the end, it made me have buck teeth, and eventually, some orthodontic care which lead me to having braces.
Needless to say, throughout my childhood, other children had no problem making fun of me, and I grew very insecure about my teeth and my looks as a woman. A big thank you to Invisalign for this sponsored post opportunity.
When I was about 11 or 12 the day came for those metal braces to come in. I was excited, nervous, and worried about how they would look on me, but also, how they would feel.
And two years later they finally came off. Having braces was hard. The appointments of going in to the orthodontics to tighten the wires. The soreness I felt from my braces on a daily basic to the worry of taking care of my teeth for when it came time to finally take those braces off.
If only then I had the option of Invisalign. Adults and teens now have a modern choice for straightening their teeth. No more wires and brackets required – Invisalign is the clear alternative to metal braces that uses a series of virtually invisible and removable aligners that gradually move teeth over time. The benefits include no food restrictions, ability to easily maintain healthy dental brushing habits, minimal interference with sports or other activities, and teeth get straightened without most people knowing you are in treatment. Visit the Invisalign website for more information about the clear alternative to braces.
How awesome does all that sound?
The image showcased above is what the invisalign aligners look like. They go directly into the mouth and stay there throughout the day. They are removed during the times that you eat: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then put back in.
And yes, you also sleep with them. They are worn roughly 20-22 hours out of the day. And they do help in straightening teeth.
Lets showcase a before and after photo:
