Friday was CRA—ZY!
The wood came! over 21,000 linear feet of it. Yep.
And we had to unload it by hand piece by piece.
Our office has a wall of windows in the front and I saw the truck coming from down the road. My first instinct was to drop the bamboo cutting board I was prepping for print, dart out the door and sprint at 100mph to my grandma’s house. I know I could have been there in 76 seconds and my Dad wouldn’t have even realized I was gone until I was gone.
No…. I didn’t do it…..
Before the unloading started at 1pm I hydrated. This was the kind of job that needs pre hydration.
And boy was I glad that I had a filling waffle breakfast.
1 waffle with jam and a fried egg and 1 with sunflower seed butter. Awake tea with soy on the side. Good thing I had all that protein, right?!
Holy HUGE truck full of wood! The base of the trailer was at my shoulders and I’m 5 foot 10! We think it was over a ton of heavy lifting. It took 2 hours.
After unloading all the wood I headed over to the theater to dress the tiny humans for the show. Max met up with me after to take me to dinner.
I knew exactly what I wanted. Pepperoni Pizza and BEER! I splurged on some gluten.
Max sure knows how to treat a lady right!
