Ahmedabad.

We have to love this city.
They say how Bombay chaos is awesome.
They say how Bombay rains are classy.
Because they don't know about Ahmedabad yet.
I love this city.
Here, the winters get cold when you least expect it to be.
Summers are always so hot with serene breeze at night.
What adds more to it is the giggling sound of kids playing Badminton, Cricket on main road, Thappo and Hide and Seek.
I love to see children suck Rs. 1 Pepsi-Cola to quench the summer heat.
And rain..they are ruthless and sexy.
The showers turn off all the traffic sound or that of construction.
I love how chai tastes so good at any kitli at IIM Road.
I love how Rickshaw walas are so cool here. They talk of Modi and on religion and spirituality.
They speak of how world is going nuts.
I love how this city embraces religious fanatics and intellectual people together.
And we have IIM, NID, CEPT and Xavier's here, right?
Xavier's is important.
I love how every next youngster in the city is doing engineering.
I love how the color of Sabarmati has nothing to do with the color of the sky here.
I love how she seems 'Okay' every-time she is dried of water because of any random dam building somewhere. I love how she gracefully takes all the God-bin people throw in her and still look beautiful.
I love how people are never dumbly dead nor madly lost in the crowd, here.
I love to see how couples sit near Vastrapur lake here. I love to see how nearby shop-walas feel embarrassed about it and label it 'nudity'.
I love how people here don't mind their own business.
I love how people gaze at foreigners here as if they are from another world.
I love the gola-baraf here.
I love the fact that we don't have many pubs and bars here. You can retain your senses, hang out with the most valuable people of your life- Your kids, family and love, instead of alcohol, loud sound and a bunch of drunk strangers.
I love how Muslims and Hindus both reach at 7 pm sharp at Bhadra Fort to thank their 'Nagar-devi' for all business of the day and peace.
I love how hefty electronic bazaar at ManekChowk changes into Khani-Pini gali in no time.
I love how we block roads when India wins a World Cup.
I love how people drink 5555 and Swadeshi to 'get a feel' of alcohol and act drunk.
I love how people love Daya bhabhi more than Babita from Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma.
I love how news reporters here do stories on Pod and Malls back-to-back.
I love how people are amazed to know the arrival of a celebrity for a show.
I love how people in the city are not-so-cool.
I love how old men and women will gaze hip girl in shorts here.
I love how Aam Admi goes to Wills and comes back after taking a chill in the AC and seeing how costly brands can be.
I love how Aam Admi will go to Big bazaar every Wednesday because then, its a sale.
I love how a poor man here, even after being 'thrown' out of the mall, will charmingly walk towards the security guard at Alpha One and say, "Ek vaar andar java do ne"
I love how people buy China phones here and flaunt.
I love how people get into fight in the middle of the jam-packed road and the entire traffic cares.
I've been in this city all my life and I love this discontinuous, loud, mad city and I doubt if I'll ever say 'I know this city.Every bit of it.'
Ahmedabad.You.Are.
Love.
