Hubby and me in May, 2009: The day he gave me the ring
It is no secret that I have battled health problems for all of my life, with the largest external representation (no pun intended) being my expanding and shrinking girth. On the other hand, my hubby rarely gets a cold, let alone live with chronic health problems like I do. Other than being tired after a long day at work, and work/age-related aches and pains, hubby is healthy.
Hubby and me in April 2010: Celebrating his birthday
God bless. But in the last six months or so, my hubby has been sluggish, moody and getting fatter. I chalked it down to age, work, the stress of having two grown girls, and eating crap.
I tried to lovingly coerce him to eat healthy, work-out with me, take walks...anything that could possibly curve the road I could see him headed to: a future heart-attack.
Hubby and Me, Valentines Day 2011
It sounds dramatic until you find out that my hubby was blessed with good genes, but a horrible knack for making bad food choices...and his weight gain was going to his belly. All of it.
I was worried, but nothing I said or did convinced my hubby to change his bad habits until he tried to tie his shoes.
