Airport WIAW

I made it to California! I am excited to be in the sunshine state, out of the office and attending an awesome show, Natural Products Expo West

I flew all day yesterday. Sat for hours on end, and I am in desperate need of a workout. However, I did pack snacks for the trip and tried to eat well throughout the day. So what better way to share my WIAW then do it airport style!

As I waited for my first flight, I checked email and ate a PB & Jelly sandwich for breakfast.

I think PB & Jelly may be one of my favorite things in the world!

During my layover in Newark, I bought a Saigon Soba noodle dish. I had never had it before, but it sounded good and it was Vegan. There were a ton of spices, buckwheat noodles, and tofu.

My flight to Cali was over 6 hours so I knew I was going to need to food for the flight.

I ate about half of the noodles on the plane and then finished them for dinner with some carrots and two oranges for dessert.

Planning ahead and carefully selecting my foods has made it easier to eat a Vegan diet. I have really enjoyed it so far, however I have found I am eating way more bread and carbs without the protein. It’s hard because I am going to be traveling but I need to make an effort to eat more fresh veggies, beans and legumes. I just feel weak, but that could also be related to the fact tat I haven’t had a good work out in the past couple days.

This is where I will be all day!

Question:
What are your favorite foods to eat in the airport or traveling?
