Ever since I started blogging, I've wanted to attend a blog conference! Learning all of those tips and meeting bloggers in person just sounds like fun! If they were in my hometown and didn't cost money, I'd go in a heartbeat!
I'm sure you have heard of the Altitude Summit blogging conference. They have the most classes I've ever seen and are a great tool for a new or experienced blogger. I visit their website all the time, wishing I could attend.
Well guess what! I can! And so can you! Thanks to Bing's Summer Of Doing (#thanksbing), Alt is offering 4 free online classes! What is the Summer of Doing? Well, Bing explains it best! "Summer is here. And so is the new Bing. To celebrate, we’re offering a summer’s worth of daily search words that inspire more doing. Every day is a new search—and a chance to enter to win." They have a different search word every day, and they are all things that you DO. For example, today's word is "block partying." Some words in the past have been "DIY-ing" and "bonfiring." Those sound like fun search words! The idea is to search these words and see what people have been doing. Then, get some ideas and do it yourself! There is even a new prize every day that can be won!
Why would you want to take classes at Alt? There are so many to pick from! I'm hoping to take "Bringing home the bacon when your blog isn't huge," "Blogging 101," "Getting started with advertising," and "Content is king." Bing, being the lovely people they are, are offering two FREE classes in addition to the four you choose! "Tough Love: What Brands Really Think About Your Blog" and "The ABCs of SEO: How Bing can help make your blog a success" are being offered to everyone for free, and you don't have to do anything special to take them. Just sign up! They also offer classes about graphic design and analytics for the more experienced bloggers. If you can't pick just four, sign up for all of them! You won't get them for free, but they are definitely worth the small cost. This is a great opportunity for bloggers, and I'm super excited to get started!
Will you be taking part in these classes? Which ones are you taking?
