An Adrenalized Afternoon #HexaExperience

Tata Motors rocked the #HexaExperience during the weekend from 23-25 December at the Hexa Experience Center, White Orchid, Bangalore. I had an invitation from Indiblogger, and chose to go on 23 Dec, a Friday. Since the event allowed family and promised lots of fun, I attended with my son, my sister and my niece.

The Tata Hexa is a Lifestyle SUV - power-packed, feature-loaded, adrenaline-pumped - and due to be launched soon.

With an early lunch under our belt, we set off around 1 pm, anticipating an interesting afternoon.

White Orchid is a fine venue and the Hexa Experience Center was organized well.

We started off with registrations, where we were tagged around the wrist to authorize the Tata Hexa experience. Next, we set out to explore the various Tata group ventures that were showcased around the periphery of the enclosure, with the Hexa taking center stage.

Our first stop was Tata Housing, followed by their electronic store Croma, featuring various gadgets and appliances. The staff also offered us a discount card valid for three months. We then moved on to Mia, the Tata jewelry line where we saw rings, earrings and other jewelry items on display. Adjoining this was Titan watches and Tata Motor Finance.

Of course, my son and niece preferred to hang out at the Octane car race where they had a good time racing cars by remote control.

They also got captured on Instagram by Tata Hexa official

There was a cheerful kiddies zone after the Tata product "stalls", and I have to admit I wished I could play there. You would have too, if you'd seen it. A large dartboard drew me like a magnet-I have a penchant for the bull's eye and had a go at it, while my fams made a beeline for the pet adoption center. Can't blame them! There was a convenient pet store next door for the kind souls that adopted a pet.

It was half-time already and the thoughtfully placed donut shop, Kaati Zone, Domino's pizza and Tata tea and coffee beckoned. We succumbed, for a well-deserved snack break, what with the early lunch and all. There's something about the smell of baking that's so irresistible!

As we enjoyed our refreshments, live music played on with a rather lively announcer who engaged the crowd around the area.

After listening to a couple of numbers and watching the mega-screen display the Hexa in action, we strolled over to the chief guest of the day, the cynosure of all eyes-the Hexa. She was beautiful and we posed for a few photos. It was nice to meet friends from Tata Motors-I'd met Ashish Sahni during earlier Tata launches of the Zest and also during the visit to their Sanand factory last year.

The 360 digital zone drew us next, and it was exciting to explore the Hexa's features.

As we made our way outside to experience the much-awaited ride in the Hexa, a couple of official photographers asked if I'd do a one-minute video about my afternoon at the Hexa center-of course I said yes and we went into the RadioCity booth. Then, of course, group photo!

The highlight of the day was the adventure ride in the Hexa, expertly maneuvered by Mr.Yogesh who took us through all the miracle-hurdles the SUV could perform, explaining the whys and hows.

It was amazing and at times, heart-stopping. By the time we got off, we were in love. And of course we wished we could take one home. See this video:

The ride seemed to end all too soon and as we exited, there was a team waiting to get our feedback. After this, we were ready to head home.

But we didn't-we went shopping and rounded off the happy afternoon at our own favorite bistro, where we enjoyed bhel, cheese sandwiches, pani puri, pav bhaji, falooda, ice-cream and mud coffee.

All in all, a fab day, nicely put together by Tata Motors. I would describe the car-truly #Hextraordinary-but I think you'll have more fun exploring the Hexa website - check out the 360 degree view!
