Childcare.co.uk is the UK's largest childcare website. Over 1.8 million people have used their website to find childcare or childcare work since they launched in 2009. They offer a large choice of babysitters, nannies and registered childminders, as well as private tutors.
It's a great way for childcare providers to connect with parents, my future sister-in-law is actually registered on the site as she works in childcare and is currently working for a family looking after their little boy - taking him to school and picking him up and then looking after him after school time.
Finding a childcare provider in your area is really simple - from the homepage you can select the type of childcare service you are looking for, like babysitting for example and then you just enter your full postcode and click search.
From there you can find local to you childcare providers listed, at a quick glance you can see their photo, name, service, location, gender, fee per hour, their rating and their last login. From there you can choose to view their full profiles, message them or like them. Most providers provide details on who they are, what experience they have, their availability and their qualifications. You can also read reviews that others have left and see further details about their fees.
From the search page, you also have the option of filtering your searches by many different options such as childminders with DBS checks, childminders with special needs experience and more. A quick search for childcare listings within five miles of my own postcode brings up 314 childcare jobs! With 40 within 3 miles (which is not bad considering we live in a small, quiet village).As a parent, I know how important it is to find somebody you can trust 110% to look after your children when you're not able to be around. Childcare.co.uk seems to be a great bridge for connecting parents to childcare providers and vice versa. It gives parents the opportunity to filter and narrow down their choices to help them to find the right person/s to take care of their children. Creating an account either as somebody looking for local childcare or as somebody looking for jobs in childcare is free and easy to do. The site is user-friendly, clear and very simple, with great Trustpilot reviews and feedback from families that have used the service.
