“Are you challenging me?” I asked, raising my eyebrow at him.
The corner of his mouth twitched up in a smile and he replied, “Maybe, I am.” I glanced up at the old oak tree that seemed to touch the edge of the sky. I bit my lip, thinking about the climb to the top. It would be a long and dangerous one with twisting branches and full foliage. I did not want to look like a sissy in front of him. Pssh…I could do this. I turned to him with a smirk on my face and replied,
“You’re on!”
