August Moon Day 1: Set an Intention ~ Sacred & Willing with Passionate Detachment

Posted on the 09 August 2014 by Juliejordanscott @juliejordanscot

Intention: an aim, a purpose, a plan. An attitude.

Opportunities are knocking, waiting, waiting… wondering.

What will my response be?

I’m feeling lead to respond in favor of enormous change, one which makes me feel better in calling “a trial run, a time of investigation, a rolling of the dice and moving my player piece because I won’t know until I try” and staying detached from any specific outcomes. I will call this, for now, "this other something new."

Beyond that particular knocking, when the New Moon arrives at my doorstep two of my children will be finished with their first week of school. They will be in their senior year of high school and eighth grade respectively. My eldest will be about to fly East again: this time to Princeton and her first year of graduate school.

These two weeks are poignant and pregnant enough without me leaping into this other something new.

In these two weeks I will have the answer to another skin check - one which I have braced myself to be full of more testing and perhaps lead to another surgery or procedure.

These are just facts, all of these, just facts.

My intention: to allow each of these moments in my near history to be experienced as sacred and holy, to approach them with an open boldness and a willingness to feel whatever is calling to be felt and to create with passionate attachment.

Mmmmm. That feels just right.
