Author’s Note: An Introduction To Gabriel Through My Letters

Posted on the 28 February 2013 by Violetmudrost @letters2gabriel

Dear Readers,

I’ve added another section to this story: an appendix with every letter I’ve ever written to Gabriel, whom I met in June of 2010.  I know pieces of the story are missing, and I know that I’m skipping ahead, and I know that there are still pieces of the story missing when all you’ll get for a while are letters that I’ve composed to Gabriel.

I think of The Magician’s Nephew, my favorite book in The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis was written last of all, though now it is often numbered as the first, since it tells the story of Narnia’s creation and comes before all if when the books are put in chronological order.  Why did Lewis write them that way?  Author’s inspiration?  A flow only he understood?  Perhaps the story would not be written any other way.  That’s how I feel about this memoir.  Part IV: Gabriel — The Letters are tugging, nudging, whispering in my ear to be published.  It’s time, though there is still much to the story.

And so, without further ado, I give you my letters… and pray that your imaginations delight in filling in the blanks.

Much love.
