It's always lovely to be able to write about good news - and today I'm thrilled to let you know that not one, but THREE of my recent images have won international awards!
The Wedisson Best Wedding Photography award is a difficult one to win, and each collection has literally thousands of entrants each time it's run - so I'm delighted that this image merited a Best Wedding Photography Award. It's one of my absolute favourites and was photographed in a wedding last summer in West Somerset - just as the bride was about to enter the church. I love this image as not only is it pure reportage with absolutely no posing, setup or interference from myself... it's capturing an truly pivotal moment in the wedding day which the bride will remember forever.
I was also very excited to win two Portrait Awards - my first time in entering! Two very different images, as one is a maternity shoot and one a glamour shoot - but when you see them together, you can see my shooting and editing style clearly in both. With studio portraiture, held in my Dorset portrait studio here in Shillingstone, I aim to capture not only wonderful connection with the subject, but also an absolute timelessness and elegance which will live on for generations to come.
These are both very special images to me, and I'm thrilled that they did so well!
