B is for Bargains!
As much as I'd love to win the lottery (who wouldn't) I also love to bargain shop!!!
As a stay-at-home mom on a budget bargain shopping is pretty much a necessity.
Most of our furniture was found on Craigslist. I'm not ashamed of that. I love Craigslist and love searching for that perfect deal! You can find great quality pre-owned furniture for almost nothing.
Most of my kids' clothes and shoes are from garage sales, thrift stores, consignment sales and even Craigslist. That does not mean my kids are dressed in faded, ugly, stained, ripped clothing and cheapy shoes. It's very possible to buy cute, quality, name brand, second hand clothing in great condition at a bargain price. And it's possible to find quality, name brand, second hand shoes. I'll turn down cheaply made, brand new clothing and shoes for better quality and preowned. Again, I absolutely love finding a bargain! It's fun for me and since I am a stay-at-home mom on a budget this is pretty much a necessity for us right now too.
I do use coupons off and on but I'm not really into couponing at this point. My husband is the grocery shopper around here and he clips the grocery coupons he needs. He also keeps up with grocery store ads and compares prices from store to store. He does most of our grocery shopping at H-E-B and buys a few things at Wal*Mart or Sprouts.
Finding deals for our home and deals for my kids is my speciality right now. I wanted to post a few pictures of some of my favorite bargain finds but that will have to wait until another post.
