Baby #2's Gender Reveal Ft. Balloon Time

Posted on the 20 February 2015 by Alex_bumptobaby @bumptobaby_blog
Finding out our second child's gender was so exciting and so was putting together and planning the balloon gender reveal! The idea was one that I'd seen 'floating' around on Pinterest and I thought it was such an adorable idea. And then when Brit Mums sent around an email looking for people with an upcoming celebration to work with in association with Balloon Time helium kits, it seemed like the idea was meant to be!

I know it's such a simple idea, but we had so many people compliment us on our reveal and so I thought I'd show you guys just how easy it was to put it together using just the helium kit, our shoes and our camera, oh, and some extra baby blue/pink balloons!
So how does the helium tank work?
It's honestly really simple to use! I had, for some reason, expected it to be a little more complicated (which shows how much I knew about at home helium kits)!..
1. Open the green valve by turning it counter-clockwise, four full turns.2. Slide the balloon onto the black nozzle.3. Hold the balloon tightly onto the black nozzle and push down to release helium into the balloon. Then remove the balloon and tie the knot!
Using the kit was so much easier than struggling to carry pre-inflated helium balloons down the street and then trying to wrestle with them in the carEach Balloon Time standard helium kit contains a tank of helium, 30 latex balloons and ribbon (with prices starting at £22.00, if you get it from Asda like we did).

Here are a few photos of the helium kit in action.. once the balloons were inflated, it really was as simple as adding some ribbon to them, attaching them to our shoes, lining them up and snapping a quick photo. :)balloon time, helium kit, at home helium kit, gender reveal ideasballoon time, helium kit, at home helium kit, gender reveal ideasballoon time, helium kit, at home helium kit, gender reveal ideasBaby #2's Gender Reveal ft. Balloon TimeI'm working with BritMums and Balloon Time as part of the “Celebration Club”, highlighting inventive and fun ways of using balloons. I was provided with a Balloon Time helium kit and have been compensated for my time. All editorial and opinions are my own. Visit www.balloontime.com for more information and party inspiration.
