Baby #2: What’s my gender preference?

It’s just four weeks now until I am able to find out what gender my second child will be!Lots of people have asked me, like they did with Ethan, whether or not I will be finding out the baby’s sex. And like with Ethan – my answer is ‘Of course!’ (that is, If I can of course). My Husband and I are both (luckily) in complete agreement with this. We both have somewhat of a lack of patience when it comes to something as exciting as this is and for so us, we’d just prefer to know. Plus, then we can go ahead and stop calling the baby ‘baby’ or ‘it’ and refer to them as ‘he’ or ‘she’. And then there’s all the fun of being able to buy stuff for the new baby in either blue or pink. ;) I also like having time to get used to whether we’ll be having a little boy or girl join the family. So for us it’s a definite if we can find out, then we absolutely will!So what’s our preference? Boy or girl?Honestly speaking, both my Husband and I this time around have no preference whatsoever. And here’s why: We always hoped to have a little boy – and we have one! We would be happy with another little boy as I quite like the idea of having boys and giving Ethan a little brother who is close to him in age. But we’d be happy with a girl too because then we have one of each and I never have to wonder what it would have been like to have a girl. I get to buy new things such as clothes (oh and isn’t everything for little girls just so pretty?!). I also get to buy her things like Barbie’s and dolls and do things with her that I did as a little girl. Plus we have narrowed a girls name down to just the once choice. With boys names - we have two current favourites! So quite honestly, we’re happy either way. If I’m totally and utterly honest, I just want to see a healthy little baby in my womb when we go for that next scan. I want to be told that everything looks perfect and that baby is doing great. It may sound cliché but that really is our only wish.

Did you/do you have a preference?
